Bio:Language is my mother, my father, my husband, my brother, my sister, my whore, my mistress, my checkout girl. Language is a complimentary moist lemon-scented cleansing square, or handy freshen-up wipette. Language is the breath of God. Language is the dew on a fresh apple. It's the soft rain of dust that falls into a shaft of morning light as you pluck from an old bookshelf a half-forgotten book of erotic memoirs. Language is the creak on a stair. It's a spluttering match held to a frosted pane. It's a half-remembered childhood birthday party. It's the warm, wet, trusting touch of a leaking nappy. The hulk of a charred panzer. The underside of a granite boulder, the first downy growth on the upper lip of a Mediterranian girl. It's cobwebs long since overrun by an old Wellington boot.

That, surely, is a thought to take out for a cream tea on a raining Sunday afternoon.

-Stephen Fry

Pornographies are the enchanted parklands where the most secret and vulnerable of all our many selves can safely play. They are the palaces of luxury that all the policies and armies of the outer world can never spoil, can never bring to rubble. They are our secret gardens where seductive paths of words and imagery lead us to the wet, blinding gateway of our pleasure, beyond which things may only be expressed in language that is beyond literature, beyond all words.

-Alan Moore

An Atheist loves his fellow man instead of god. An Atheist believes that heaven is something for which we should work now – here on earth for all men together to enjoy.

An Atheist believes that he can get no help through prayer but that he must find in himself the inner conviction, and strength to meet life, to grapple with it, to subdue it and enjoy it.

An Atheist believes that only in a knowledge of himself and a knowledge of his fellow man can he find the understanding that will help to a life of fulfillment.

He seeks to know himself and his fellow man rather than to know a god. An Atheist believes that a hospital should be built instead of a church. An Atheist believes that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said. An Atheist strives for involvement in life and not escape into death. He wants disease conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated. He wants man to understand and love man.

He wants an ethical way of life. He believes that we cannot rely on a god or channel action into prayer nor hope for an end of troubles in a hereafter.

He believes that we are our brother's keepers; and are keepers of our own lives; that we are responsible persons and the job is here and the time is now.”

My friending policy is haphazard and random in the extreme. My major inspiration for friending anyone is the desire I harbor that I shall never ever log on to LJ at two in the morning to find that no one has posted anything interesting to make my insomniac hours less torturous. If you find that I have friended you and yet you are fairly certain that you have no idea who I am, congratulations. I probably just really liked your default icon. You are part of the monumental and ongoing effort to keep me from being bored. And no, I will not be offended if you do not friend me back.

You can also friend me, and I'll probably return the favor as soon as I notice, which I'll do faster if you drop me a line (through e-mailing ladyfalcon195@gmail.com or AIM-ing ladyfalcon195) to say 'hi'.

Also, I have recently begun friends-locking all new posts. Eventually I will have everything locked except for a few entries that I feel are particularly funny or well-written, which I will keep out for public consumption and so that people can see if I'm the sort of person they want to friend.
